Regulations on the use of archival material

_Terms II.

These Regulations and the Media-Archive History price list establish the principles to guarantee users access to objects and other materials from the collections.

I. Browsing and online consultation is free.

II. The contents are made available for inspection at the Media-Archive History offices, the request must be made with 30 days notice. Consultation bookings sent by e-mail must include a declaration containing: subject of the request with archive reference and copy of the identity card.

III. Users may photograph the original objects only with the permission and in the manner indicated by Media-Archive History.

IV. Digital images of archival material, photographs and objects from the collections, also called digital copies (scans), are made available for use in all types of publications and projects: academic, exhibition, commercial, educational and cultural.

V. Digital copies of the collections are made available for a cost. A cost is charged for the preparation of digital copies of photographs / archival documents / objects in accordance with the current price list for the services.

VI. The User will receive digital copies upon payment and after completing and sending a declaration. The User will therefore acquire the right to the single use of said digital copies, exclusively for the purposes indicated in the declaration presented. Users will not be authorized to transfer the rights to use the digital copies to other third party entities or individuals.

Regulations for making digital copies available

_Terms III.

The Digital Images of archival material, photographs and objects from the collections, also called digital copies (scans), are made available for use in all types of publications and projects: academic, exhibition, commercial, educational and cultural.

I. Digital copies are made available through an application form sent to: ask@thegoldentorch.com a / o info@media-archive.org.
II.Digital copies of the collections are made available for a cost. A cost is charged for the preparation of digital copies of photographs / archival documents / objects in accordance with the current price list for the services. The cost depends on the quality of the scan provided and the intended use of the digital copies.
III.Users are not authorized to transfer the rights on the use of digital copies to other parties or third parties. Media-Archive History is not responsible for any unlawful or non-compliant use of digital copies for the purposes indicated in the order. In the event of a dispute, the legal responsibility – with all its consequences – lies with the User, both towards third parties and towards Media-Archive History.
IV.Digital copies are made available to the User within 14 days of sending a correctly completed request and a declaration signed by the User, unless photography and scanning are only possible at a later time, of which the User will be informed.

V. Where justified, Media-Archive History may deny consent to the supply of digital copies of the collections.

Regulations for the loan of objects

_Terms IV.

I. Media-Archive History lends items from the collections upon written request and loan agreement.

II. The loan agreement defines all the details of the loan not contained in this regulation.

III. The loan application must be submitted at least three months before the loan date.

IV. A loan application outside of Italy must be submitted at least five months before the loan date.

V. The loan request must indicate:
A. The entity borrowing the Article,
B. Objects (author, name, inventory number),
C. The place (address) of the exhibition of the objects,
D. The period of the loan expressed at least in months and years.

VI. The decision on the loan of the Assets is made by Media-Archive History on the basis of the status of the Assets and following the evaluation of the request. In its unquestionable judgment it can approve or deny the loan.

VII. Loan Items may only be used in accordance with the purpose and for the period specified in the Agreement and must be returned at the latest on the last day set out in the Agreement.

VIII. The Borrower will bear all costs of lending the Items under the Agreement, including packaging and round-trip transportation.

IX. The Borrowing Entity has no right to lend the Items to third parties.

X. The borrower will have to display and store the lent Items with due care, in accordance with the conditions established in the Agreement and according to optimal conditions for storage.

XI. Media-Archive History reserves the right to verify the conditions of display and conservation of the Articles on loan during the period of the exhibition.

XII. The Borrower will take out nail-to-nail insurance coverage for the Items. A copy of the insurance policy must be provided to Media-Archive History at least three days prior to the day the Items are delivered.

XIII. For the duration of the transport, the Items must be packed using suitable materials that ensure maximum protection from any damage that may occur during transport.

XIV. Media-Archive History reserves the right to seek compensation for Items damaged, destroyed or lost during the loan.

XV. The borrower must immediately inform the Institute of the damage or loss of the Goods and send a detailed report on the state of the damage suffered with complete photographic documentation or a detailed report on the circumstances of the loss of the Goods. The report must be sent within three days from the occurrence of the damage.

XVI. Media-Archive History reserves the right to further inspection in the event of damage or loss of the Goods, the costs of which are borne by the borrower.

Return Policy

_Terms V.

Thank you for shopping at Media-Archive History.

We offer refund and/or exchange within the first 15 days of your purchase, if 15 days have passed since your purchase, you will not be offered a refund and/or exchange of any kind.

Eligibility for Refunds and Exchanges

Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

The item must be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Only regular priced items may be refunded, sale items cannot be refunded.

If the item in question was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at ask@thegoldentorch.com.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Shipping

Send the product back to us.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

Shipping costs are non-refundable! If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

Please see, we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
